We can even advise on ways to improve your cash flow.

The bookkeeper‘s work prepares the way for the account to do his magic. Yes, the accountant may be able to do some of the work, but at more than twice the cost would you really want them to? The accountant’s role is to provide higher end taxation planning and business advice. The accurate information we provide makes their work easier and more cost effective to your business.

You can if you want to. Can you afford the time out of your business to do so AND:

• Keep up to date with changes in the ATO record keeping and reporting legislation, and figure out how it applies to your business?
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of bookkeeping practices, to apply the best accounting methods for your business?
• Understand accounting software, including their regular updates (sometimes monthly), to determine the best product package for your business?

You see apart from the data entry, bookkeepers also need to keep you compliant and make your accountant’s job easier by keeping your accounts reconciled and accurate.

On face value you could pay anywhere from $12/hr (overseas operators) to $220/hr; the industry average is around $50-80/hr for a qualified bookkeeper. Value for money though is a different matter. We often clean-up work done by “cheaper” bookkeepers, and accountants hate this too. We are committed to maintain our technical skills so that the work gets done right, the first time.
